Abhishek Bachchan He made his debut with JP Dutta’s Refugee in 2000 and also collaborated with Kareena Kapoor sweat. The actor has come a long way since then, from serial flops to seminal films like The Master. There has been a significant shift in Bachchan’s choices and the perception towards him since the past few years. When asked about the changes as an actor, he told ETimes in an interview, “The only thing that has changed is that I am more comfortable. I think when I first started as an actor, I was a little uncomfortable. But now, I’m more comfortable in front of the camera. ” He added, “When you’re yourself and you’re comfortable with who you are, you know exactly the decisions you need to make. I’m very aware today, or in the last five to seven years, of what I didn’t want to do at that time. Initially in your career, you feel so excited, but no matter what you do, there’s this insecurity.” Abhishek said he knew exactly what job he wanted to do today. “It was clear to me that at this point I didn’t want to do it. That means I definitely wanted to do it. So, there’s more belief in it, and that comes from a certain maturity and calmness. I think that helps your job as well. I want to believe that we’re not all over the place anymore.” When asked further if he had any insecurities, he said, “As far as ‘yeh kya kar raha hai’ is concerned, I have never been an insecure actor. Insecure about my abilities, yes. I think all actors are like… ‘Can I do this?'” Abhishek also added that the responsibility of how an actor performs lies with the director. In this throwback interview, the actor was also accompanied by Shoojit Sircar and when asked if he thought Abhishek’s character in I Want to Talk, the actor quipped: “It’s tricky, you can’t ask him that.” He added, “You can’t ask him that question because he agreed to the shot. It’s not my problem. Actors get criticized, but it’s always the director’s fault (laughs). He’s the one who decides if it’s good enough.” On the work front, Abhishek is currently working towards Shah Rukh KhanIs the ‘King’.
