“You need to ensure compatibility”
Sharing her views, Zeenat said, “In today’s time, and even in the past, nothing lasts forever. You need to ensure compatibility before making a legal commitment. This is my opinion. You need to know if you are mentally and emotionally compatible. “She went on to explain that compatibility isn’t just limited to romance, but also includes important aspects of building a life together.“If you were going to have kids, how would you raise them? What are your thoughts on finances? If it’s not compatible, what’s the point? Wouldn’t you rather have five years of fun than fifteen years of pain? That’s what I believe,” she added.
“The honeymoon phase doesn’t last forever.”
The actress also spoke about the reality of long-term relationships, saying many people mistakenly believe that only romance can sustain a marriage.“People think romance lasts forever. Nothing lasts forever. Relationships are always an evolving process. There has to be give and take, adjustments and compromises if things are going to work. Relationships evolve. If you think the honeymoon phase lasts forever, it doesn’t,” she said.
