Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce this week announced donations of $26 million to at least 20 organizations in the United States. The donation reportedly comes ahead of this weekend’s wedding in New York, although the couple has yet to officially confirm the wedding.According to Variety, the representative did not mention the wedding in a statement about the donation, saying simply: “This week, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift donated $26 million to charities across the United States.” The 20 organizations receiving support include nine food banks, an animal welfare organization, seven education programs and three children’s hospitals across the country.

Among the organizations receiving donations, City Harvest New York issued a public statement detailing its donation. “We are incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their generous $1 million donation to City Harvest. This donation is a love letter to New York and a bold commitment to our efforts to ensure that no New Yorker goes hungry,” said Jilly Stephens, CEO of the organization. “Their support comes at a critical time, with visits to New York City’s soup kitchens and food pantries nearing record highs and expected to increase further due to federal funding cuts.”

The Community Food Bank of Rhode Island also issued a statement expressing gratitude for its contribution. “We are so grateful for the incredibly generous and unexpected gifts from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce,” said Food Bank CEO Melissa Cherney. “As needs in our community continue to grow, this $1 million donation will go a long way in helping us purchase and distribute the nutritious, culturally appropriate food Rhode Islanders deserve. I hope their gift inspires others; it certainly inspired us. “Charities that accept donations cover a variety of categories and meet different social needs. Food-focused organizations include regional and national food banks serving communities in New York, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Nashville, Redding and Rhode Island. Educational support includes programs focused on music and extracurricular activities. Children’s hospitals receiving support serve patients at multiple locations.
