HPBOSE 2026 Supplementary Exam: : The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, has started the Matric and Class 12 supplementary exams from July 3, 2026. The exams are conducted for several categories, including Compartment, Essential Improvement, Optional Improvement, Subject Additional, Diploma Holder Re-appearance, Special Chance categories, and as other perishable categories.The Board has issued detailed guidelines to ensure smooth and malpractice-free conduct of examinations at all centres. Candidates appearing for the supplementary examinations have been instructed to follow all examination rules strictly and maintain discipline throughout the process. All papers are conducted in a single morning session from 8:45 AM to 12:00 PM.Strict instructions for proper examination conductHPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma said that the examinations should be conducted in a fair and transparent manner at all the centres. Candidates are advised to avoid any form of unfair means, including cheating or using unauthorized material. The Board emphasized that strict monitoring arrangements have been put in place to ensure compliance with examination standards.Students were instructed to appear self-confident and maintain honesty during the examination process. The Board reiterated that discipline and sincerity remain essential for academic progress and success in examinations under the supplementary system.The admit card is mandatory for entry into the examination centersThe Board has uploaded admit cards for Matric and Class 12 (Regular) supplementary examinations on its official website, www.hpbose.org. Candidates are required to download their admit cards through the “Student Corner”, while schools can access and distribute them using the “School Login” facility.Admission to the examination centers is strictly dependent on the verification of admission cards. Candidates should ensure that all the details like exam center, subject details and personal information are printed correctly. In case of discrepancies, students have been advised to contact the concerned authorities before the exam date.Candidates under the ‘Special Chance’ category have also been directed to download their admit cards and check their eligibility status before appearing for the examination.Exam schedule and reporting rulesThe supplementary examinations for the Matric (Regular) category are conducted from July 3, 2026 to July 10, 2026. For Class 12 (Regular) candidates, the examinations will continue until July 16, 2026. All examinations are scheduled in the morning session and candidates are required to report well before the start time of 8:45 AM.Late entry into the exam centers will not be allowed once the exam starts. Candidates have been instructed to carry their admit cards without fail and follow all the instructions issued at the centre. The Board also made it clear that compliance with the reporting time and verification procedures is mandatory.Public cooperation and reporting mechanismHPBOSE appealed to parents, guardians and the general public to help maintain the integrity of the examination process. If any case of malpractice or irregularity is observed in the examination centers, it should be reported immediately to the Board authorities.The Board has assured that all such information will be treated with complete confidentiality and that appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the regulations. This mechanism was introduced to enhance transparency and ensure fair conduct in all examination centers.Helplines issued for the assistance of candidatesTo support the students during the examination period, HPBOSE has issued district and category wise help numbers. These helplines are meant to help candidates with queries related to admit cards, exam centers and timetables.Candidates are advised to use these support facilities for any clarification required before or during the examination period. The Board stated that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure smooth and transparent conduct of supplementary examinations in Himachal Pradesh.
