Earlier this year, the proposal was reportedly suspended due to geopolitical tensions in West Asia.However, following recent diplomatic developments between the US and Iran, the situation is believed to have stabilized and producers have resumed discussions to bring Ramayana to Dubai for a grand launch.The event, which is reportedly being dubbed internally as the “Desert Premiere,” currently has a tentative date of October 28.

Preparations for the proposed event have reportedly begun, with multiple venues in Dubai being assessed for the high-profile premiere.If the plan comes to fruition, the event is expected to bring together the film’s key actors, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, who are likely to join the festivities along with the filmmakers.A source told Mid Day, “The idea was shelved in April because the timing wasn’t right. Now that the situation has eased considerably, the team is once again exploring the feasibility of bringing Ramayana to Dubai. The city has always been a top choice because of its ability to host large-scale events and its presence in the Indian diaspora. “
