The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will close the online application process for Group C Recruitment 2026 today, 30 June 2026. Eligible candidates who have qualified the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Group C 2025 can submit their applications through the official HSSC recruitment portal before 11:59 PM.The recruitment drive has been conducted under advertisement no.06/2026 to fill 1,238 Group C vacancies in various departments of Government of Haryana. Candidates who have not applied are advised to complete the registration process without waiting until the last minute.
HSSC Group C recruitment 2026: Vacancy details
Recruitment includes the following positions:
- Assistant Prison Superintendent (Male): 30 seats
- Assistant Prison Superintendent (Female): 3 seats
- Prisoner (Male): 1,093 seats
- Prison (female): 112 seats
A total of 1,238 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the posts of Assistant Superintendent Jail must have a graduate degree from a recognized university.For Prison Warder posts, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination. They should also have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at Matric level or above.Candidates must also meet the prescribed physical standards and qualify the required physical tests.
Selection process
The selection process includes the following stages:
- Written exam
- Physical measurement test (where applicable)
- Physical screening test (in-kind qualification)
- Document verification
The written exam will consist of 100 multiple choice questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates will get 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the paper.There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. However, candidates must mark the fifth option for each unanswered question. If they leave a question completely blank without selecting the fifth option, one mark will be deducted for each question.
