The actor recently sat down with Esquire magazine in which he opened up about fatherhood and being a parent. The actor showed off a photo of himself wearing pink makeup and shared a joke that, while he may complain about it a lot, he loved every second of it. He added: “It’s my greatest joy; I love doing this. My favorite thing about being a dad today is having such a great connection with all my girls.”On top of that, he also spoke about what it was like to be a father when he was younger, saying he and his first daughter, Simone, “grew up together.” He added, “At that time in my life, I was just flying by the seat of my pants and I didn’t know what I was doing. I was trying to figure myself out and my first daughter was two, three, four, five, six years old; those are really critical ages for you, but I always like to say we grew up together, her and me.”For those unfamiliar, the actor is the father of three daughters: Simone, Jasmine, and Tiana.
Dwayne Johnson on what he loves most about being a dad
The actor also jokingly talked about an instance in his life that made him love being a father even more. He shared that his daughters knew to come to him when their mother said no. He shared, “What I also love as a dad is when their mom says no to something, they know, come to me. ‘I’ll tell you, I love you more than your mom.'”In the caption of his post about the interview, the actor wrote, “Sometimes we men are still trying to figure ourselves out while trying to figure out how to be a good dad to our little babies.”
