The Central Bank of India will close the online registration process for 4,500 Apprentice posts today, June 28, 2026. Candidates who have not applied are advised to complete their application before the deadline through the prescribed online portals.Earlier, the last date to apply was June 22, 2026. However, the bank extended the application date to June 28, giving eligible candidates extra time to register.The recruitment is conducted under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 for the financial year 2026-27. Apprenticeship vacancies have been advertised in many states and Union Territories.

A total of 4,500 apprenticeship positions will be filled through this recruitment drive.States with the highest number of vacancies include:
- Maharashtra – 586 seats
- Uttar Pradesh – 580 seats
- Madhya Pradesh – 459 seats
- Tomorrow – 433 seats
- West Bengal – 315 seats
- Gujarat – 305 seats
Eligibility criteria
Here are the detailed eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must have a graduate degree from a recognized university or institution.
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training in any organization or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible to apply.
- The bank also stated that applicants with one year or more of work experience or training after obtaining the required educational qualification will not be eligible for the apprenticeship.
- Age of candidates will be calculated as on 31st May 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories can check detailed notification for information about age relaxation.
Selection process
The selection process includes the following stages:
- Online exam
- Local language proficiency test

- Medical fitness assessment
The online exam will have 100 multiple choice questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates will get 60 minutes to complete the test, and there will be no negative marking.The question paper will cover:

- General English

The online exam is scheduled to be held in the first week of July 2026.
