BOI Credit Officer Notification 2026: : Bank of India has announced 779 vacancies for the post of Credit Officer in various scales in General Banking Officer (GBO) stream. A brief notification has been released, while the detailed recruitment notification and online application forms will be available on the bank’s official website from June 30. The online registration process also starts on the same day.Recruitment is aimed at experienced credit professionals. According to the short notification released on June 28, eligible graduate candidates can apply for the advertised posts after the publication of the detailed notification. The complete notification will include post-wise eligibility conditions and other recruitment guidelines.Details of recruitment and selection processRecruitment is conducted for the posts of Credit Officer in MMGS-II, MMGS-III and SMGS-IV grades. The selection process will include an online exam and/or an interview, depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates.The online exam will consist of 150 questions carrying 150 marks. A penalty of one quarter of a mark will be applied for each incorrect answer. Salary for selected candidates will range from Rs. 64,820 to Rs. 1,02,300.Eligibility criteria and ageFor MMGS-II and MMGS-III posts, candidates must have a graduation degree with at least 60 per cent, or 55 per cent for SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates, from a recognized university or institute. Candidates with CA, CFA, CMA-ICWA, MBA, PGDBM or a two-year post-graduate qualification in Banking, Finance or a credit discipline are also eligible.For SMGS-IV posts, candidates must have graduated with the prescribed marks with an MBA, PGDBM, a two-year full-time master’s degree in any discipline, or CA, CFA or CMA-ICWA qualifications from a recognized institution.The prescribed age limit is 25 to 35 years for MMGS-II, 28 to 38 years for MMGS-III and 30 to 40 years for SMGS-IV.Application and registration feeThe online application window opens on June 30. The last date to apply, the fee payment schedule and the final date for printing the application form will be announced in the detailed notification.Candidates belonging to general category and other categories have to pay an application fee of Rs. 850, including intimation charges. Candidates from SC, ST and PWD categories are required to pay Rs. 175 only for intimation charges. Vacancy distribution in category and project number will be notified in the detailed recruitment notice.
