NEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared the results of the CA Foundation Examination held in May 2026. Along with the result, the Institute has published the examination statistics, including the overall pass percentage, gender performance and details of qualified candidates.Candidates who have appeared for the exam can access their results and marks through the official ICAI result portal by entering their registration number and roll number. The Institute also published the analysis of the exam performance and announced the names of the top three rankings.More than 18,000 candidates are qualifiedAccording to the data released by ICAI, a total of 90,217 candidates appeared in the CA Foundation exam held in May 2026. Of them, 18,124 candidates were declared successful, bringing the overall pass percentage to 20.09 percent.Among male candidates, 46,798 appeared for the exam, while 9,769 qualified, resulting in a pass rate of 20.88 percent.

For female candidates, 43,419 appeared and 8,355 cleared the exam. The pass percentage among female candidates was 19.24 percent.ICAI also stated that a total of 1,06,144 candidates were admitted for the Foundation examination of May 2026. The examination was conducted at 609 centers located in India and abroad.The results available through the official portalThe Institute has made the results and marks of the candidates available on its official result website. Candidates are required to enter their registration number along with their roll number to access the scorecard.The released scorecard allows candidates to view their exam performance after successfully logging in through the official portal.The merit list is also announcedAlong with the result declaration, ICAI has released the names of the top three rank holders in the CA Foundation exam.Sakshi Jain from Nashik secured the All India first rank after securing 371 marks, equivalent to 92.75 per cent.The second All India rank was secured by Ayanabbas Ajani from Chandrapur with 367 marks, translating to 91.75 percent.Radha Unmesh Mulay from Pune secured the third All India rank with 365 marks, corresponding to 91.25 per cent.The merit list reflects the best performing candidates in the May 2026 exam and has been released along with the overall result.ICAI President congratulates successful candidatesAfter the declaration of results, ICAI President CA Prasanna Kumar D congratulated the successful candidates and acknowledged the beginning of their Chartered Accountancy journey.In his message, he said that qualifying the Foundation exam marks the beginning of a transformational journey towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. He noted that the road ahead presented challenges and also offered opportunities to learn, develop professionally and achieve long-term goals.
