While the original remains a fan favorite, the team insists this version is a homage rather than a replica.

Huma Qureshi explains why the team avoided copying the original

The remastered track stars Huma Qureshi and Rachit Singh, showcasing their dynamic chemistry through stylish visuals, glamorous costumes and high-voltage dance sequences. The original “Ishq Kameena” from the 2002 movie Shakti: The Power Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchansung by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik.Talking about revisiting the beloved song, Huma shared with Mid-Day, “When this song came to us, we were super excited to bring it back. Ishq Kameena is great and almost everyone has skipped this song at some point, which comes with a huge responsibility. We were nervous, real nervous. But we didn’t want to imitate the original. We wanted to bring our own style while celebrating everything that made it iconic.”

Rachit Singh calls redeveloped track a dream opportunity

For Rachit Singh, the song was his first commercial Hindi promotional song and marked a major milestone in his career. Looking back on the experience, he expressed his gratitude for sharing the screen with Huma and admitted that the opportunity still felt surreal.He said, “Every day I have to pinch myself that this is happening.
