: : The Telangana government has granted approval to fill up 5,000 vacancies in the police department through direct recruitment. The recruitment process will be conducted by the Telangana Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB), as per the government order issued after reviewing the staffing requirements.The approval was issued by the finance department (HRM.VII) after an assessment of personnel needs under the administrative control of the Director General of Police (DGP). According to media reports, the government has directed the Telangana Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) to get all the necessary recruitment details from the home department and the DGP before issuing the recruitment notification and exam schedule at the earliest.According to the government order, the sanctioned vacancies cover various ranks and specialized units in the police department. The recruitment includes 148 posts of sub-inspector (civilian), 14 posts of sub-inspector (Armed Reserve), 12 posts of reserve sub-inspector in Telangana Special Police, and three posts of sub-inspector in Special Armed Reserve Central Police Lines.

In addition, 23 posts of assistant sub-inspector have been approved for the Finger Print Bureau. The largest share of vacancies is for accountants, with 3,697 civilian liaison positions and 1,052 Army Reserve liaison positions. The approved vacancies also include 24 posts of constables in the Special Armed Reserve Central Police Lines, 20 posts of constable (driver) and seven posts of constable (mechanic).Before issuing the recruitment notification, the Telangana Level Police Recruitment Board has been directed to get details of vacancies for cadres, roll points, eligibility qualifications and other recruitment particulars from the home department and the DGP.The government has directed that these details should be verified before the recruitment notification and exam schedule are released. He asked the recruitment board to complete the process as soon as possible to facilitate timely appointments.The government has also directed the home department to provide all necessary information related to recruitment without delay. This includes vacancies for cadres, reservation list details, prescribed qualifications and other particulars required for the recruitment process.Submission of these details will enable the recruitment board to finalize the recruitment notification and examination schedule. Once the necessary information is received from the home department and the DGP, the Telangana Level Police Recruitment Board will proceed with the direct recruitment process for the approved 5,000 police vacancies in the notified cadres.
