actor Samaira Reddy Recently, she opened up about her close relationship with her mother-in-law, Manjri Varde, and revealed how she encouraged her mother-in-law to regain her confidence after a difficult phase in her life. Sameera recalled in a recent interview that when she first met Manjri, she felt her divorce and ex-husband’s remarriage had deeply affected her, although she never expressed it publicly.“I’m going to say this publicly today. When I met her, she was divorced and my father-in-law had moved away and remarried, and in the back of my mind, I always knew, even though she never said it, that this was something that was bothering her,” Samaira said at a FICCI FLO event in Bengaluru.Manjri agrees with her daughter-in-law, admitting: “It bothers all of us. Being single is not easy.”Sameera said she saw huge potential in Manjri and made it her mission to help her embrace life with new confidence. She hopes her mother-in-law will stop shrinking and step into the spotlight.“I decided to make you super sexy and a superstar because I really felt like she had the ability to do that. I wanted her to be able to do that, so I think when I met her, I did feel…not that she was shrinking herself, but that she wasn’t stepping out and just giving.”The actor also spoke about the social stigma attached to divorce and said she urged Manjiri not to let society dictate her lifestyle.“That’s what it’s like to be divorced, and I’m telling you, you don’t have to do this. You only live once, you only have one life, and if you’re going to live it for society… that’s the speech I gave her. I said, ‘No one’s going to hold your hand when you’re standing alone in the corner crying. You’ve got to stand up, you’ve got to do something for yourself.'”Samaira added that their intention was never to disrespect her father-in-law or dwell on the past, but to focus on creating a fulfilling future for themselves.“Even if someone has moved on, we’re not here to spit in their face; we’re here to move on our own paths at the same time.
