R Madhavan was awarded Padma Shrisaid he was “deeply humbled” and “deeply grateful” to receive one of the country’s highest civilian honors.The actor, who has been basking in the success of “Durandhar” and “Durandhar: Revenge” shared a picture of him receiving the presidential award at the investiture ceremony Draupadi Murmu.

Madhavan expressed his gratitude to the Government of India for conferring the honor on him and the Government of Maharashtra for recommending his name.“I am deeply humbled, grateful and deeply honored to be awarded the Padma Shri.I sincerely thank the Government of India for conferring on me one of our country’s highest civilian honors. I am equally grateful to the Maharashtra government for recommending my name and having faith in my journey. This recognition is something I will cherish throughout my life,” he wrote.The actor also dedicated the honor to his fans, acknowledging the role they played in his journey.“To everyone who has seen my films, embraced my characters, celebrated my successes, forgiven my flaws, and stood by me over the years – this honor belongs to you as much as to me. Your love has been the driving force behind every milestone in my life and career,” he added.
