Thierry Frémaux, director of the Lumière Institute and the Cannes Film Festival, introduced me very politely. He then said he had planned a surprise and took me through the street where the film was born. I was already feeling emotional about everything going on around me. And this wall full of plaques. The names of legends like Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola, etc… Then I noticed a plate covered with a red cloth. My mind went blank. I don’t even know what to say to get my name permanently inscribed in the House of Cinema alongside the greats. Only gratitude. Deeply, deeply humbled.
