The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) has been postponed to July 5 after a section of candidates protested against the clash of exam dates, officials said on Tuesday. The OTET, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), was originally scheduled to be held on June 28. However, candidates pointed out that the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) had also scheduled a recruitment examination for various posts on the same day.Taking the concerns of the aspirants into account, the BSE has decided to reschedule the OTET. Officials said the exam will now be held on July 5.As per the revised schedule, Paper-I will be held from 9 am to 11.30 am, while Paper-II will be held from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.The date clash came after the OSSSC exam was moved from June 20 to June 28 due to administrative reasons. Following the objections of candidates who were planning to appear for both exams, the ESB changed the date of the OTET to avoid any overlap.
