Kunal Kemmu talks about the shooting of Golmaal 5
After a recent photo shared by the ‘Golmaal’ team that got fans buzzing, Kunal Kemmu has confirmed that the shoot for the next installment of the series is actively underway. He said being reunited with his costars sparked a renewed sense of nostalgia. In an interview with India Today, he shared, “We are still working on that film. We have been shooting for it. It was so fun to meet all of them and get back to the characters that we played seven or eight years ago or even earlier. As the trailer says, they’ve been doing this for 20 years; I was on the third one, but it was a lot of fun being on that set. “The actor further said, “I really hope it translates into something that people enjoy equally because I know this is probably one of the most popular series in the Hindi film industry. All of us hope that it lives up to the standards of the fans.”Kunal became a part of the franchise in 2010 with Golmaal 3 and has been a key member of the franchise ever since.
‘Margao Express 2′ Update
During the conversation, Kunal also had good news for fans who are eagerly awaiting the follow-up to his 2024 directorial debut Madgaon Express. He confirmed that work on the sequel has begun, “I know the fans are asking for it. Yes, it’s in the works. I’ve actually written it. But there’s still time.”
Kunal Kemmu reiterates his passion for acting
Talking about questions about his acting career after stepping into it, Kunal said, “I think initially I was asked, ‘Can you act now?’ I said, of course, that was my first love and I will always do it. But I think now they know that I was in Madgaon “Express” and then movies like “Single Dad” and then I also starred in my next movie “Vibe.” Now I’m doing this (‘The League’), so yeah, I guess if the message isn’t there, I’m just putting it out there – ‘I’m still an acting guy’!”
