Akshay Kumar has been following the habit of eating early – not for a few months, but for more than 20 years. The 58-year-old has a high status in the entertainment industry and is known for his fitness exercises and strict diet. “It’s important to eat dinner early. It’s very important for your body because when we sleep at night, our eyes are resting, our legs are resting, our hands are resting, every part of our body is resting. But what’s not resting is your stomach because we eat late,” he shared his insights while talking to the audience at the book launch of Your Body Already Knows.

Furthermore, he narrated the scientific facts behind the practice, saying, “I don’t think diseases come close to you. This is what I have always followed. So, it is important to eat at 6.30 pm because you have time to digest the food and when you are going to sleep, by 9, 9.30, 10 o’clock, the stomach is completely ready to rest.”
