The horror thriller will be released worldwide on September 11, 2026. The news ends months of speculation surrounding the film’s release. Earlier, reports suggested that the film might hit theaters in the summer or June, but the makers have now confirmed its theatrical release date in a creepy new update that has already sparked excitement among fans of the series.

The production house shared the release update on social media with a chilling message. The team writes that the doors to Demonte Colony 3 are about to open, warning viewers to prepare for darkness, excitement and nightmares. The news instantly went viral and fans couldn’t contain their excitement about returning to the terrifying world created by director Ajay Gnanamuthu. The series has built a loyal fan base over the years, and the third installment is expected to take the horror experience to even higher levels than before.
Filming wraps up after extensive international travel
The filming of the film was completed in April this year. Producer Sudhan Sundaram revealed that the project is on a grand scale and will be shot in multiple locations including Portugal, Malta, Leh Ladakh and Chennai. Despite some difficulties encountered during filming in different countries and locations, the director completed the entire filming of the film in just 80 days. The director’s efforts, as well as the hard work of Aruniti and the entire cast and crew, have received unanimous praise from the producers.

Director Ajay Gnanamuthu had earlier said that Demonte Colony 3 has been created in a way to cater to all audiences, irrespective of where they come from. In his words, the team is working hard to turn the film into a major theatrical show. Apart from Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the film has an equally impressive supporting cast. The music of the film is handled by Sam CS while the visual effects are done by Sivakumar Vijayan. With the post-production progressing well and the release date also confirmed, expectations are high for this Tamil horror film.
