Central Bank of India will close the online registration process for 4,500 Apprentice posts tomorrow, 28 June 2026. Interested and eligible candidates who have not applied should complete their applications before the deadline through the prescribed online portals.Previously, the last date to apply was June 22, 2026. However, the bank has extended the registration deadline to June 28, giving applicants additional time to submit their applications.The recruitment search is conducted for the engagement of apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 for the financial year 2026-27. Vacancies have been advertised in various states and Union Territories.

Vacancy details

A total of 4,500 apprenticeship positions will be filled through this recruitment drive.Some states with the highest number of vacancies are:

  • Maharashtra – 586 seats
  • Uttar Pradesh – 580 seats
  • Madhya Pradesh – 459 seats
  • Tomorrow – 433 seats
  • West Bengal – 315 seats
  • Gujarat – 305 seats

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification

  • Applicants must have a graduate degree from a recognized university or institution.
  • Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training in any organization or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible to apply.
  • The bank also clarified that candidates with one year or more of work experience or training after obtaining the required educational qualification will not be considered eligible for the apprenticeship.

Age limit

  • Eligibility age will be calculated as on 31st May 2026. Candidates are advised to check the detailed notification for relaxation of age category.

Selection process

The selection process includes:

  • Online exam
  • Local language proficiency test
  • Document verification
  • Medical fitness assessment

The online exam will consist of 100 questions carrying 100 marks and will be conducted for 60 minutes. There will be no negative marking.The paper will include questions from:

  • General and financial awareness
  • Quantitative and reasonable aptitude
  • Computer knowledge
  • General English
  • Central Bank of India Products and Services

The online exam is scheduled to be held in the first week of July 2026.

Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000 during the apprenticeship period.The apprenticeship training will be 12 months. No additional allowances or employee benefits will be provided during training.

  • Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
  • Complete the registration process with the required details.
  • Eligible candidates will receive further instructions to complete the application on the designated portal.
  • Enter the required personal preference, category and district details.
  • Pay the application fee online.
  • Submit the application form and save a copy for future reference.
