Bindu, who has worked with Bachchan in films like “Zanjeer” and “Abhimaan”, recalled the time when she accidentally spit Paan on his shirt.Bindu recalls an incident at an outdoor event Rishikesh. After a day’s work, the cast and crew had gone to Dehradun for dinner and were returning together when the accident happened. Bindu remembers enjoying a paine on the drive back while Amitabh Bachchan sat in the car behind her. With all the windows rolled down, she leaned forward and spat, unaware of what was coming next.“I remember coming back and eating the paran. I was sitting where the wind was blowing on my face and we all rolled down the windows and drove. I put my head out the window and wanted to spit out the paran, and the moment I spit it out, everything fell on Amitabh’s shirt. I was so embarrassed and I apologized profusely,” she recalled in an interview with Vicky Lalvani.For Bindu, the moment was humbling. Bachchan, however, reacted with his trademark calmness and assured her that it was no big deal. While he wasn’t upset, he certainly wasn’t going to let her forget it any time soon.“He would laugh at me,” she recalled with a laugh. Among their many collaborations, the most memorable remains the classic “Abhimaan”. In the film, Bindu plays a close confidant of Amitabh Bachchan, who was facing turmoil in his marriage at the time.
