Speaking about the film in an interview with Reporter Films, Arya said the team knew from the beginning that they were trying something different. According to him, everyone involved wanted to create a film that was different from traditional commercial entertainers.He said, “This is a very unique and experimental film. Even during the making, we felt that it was a film that was ahead of its time. Prithvi and I were passionate about the project. All of us wanted to do something different. It was made in a very stylish way without compromising on the production quality at all. That’s exactly what Lijo wanted.”
Why this movie flopped in its initial screenings
Although “Two Barrels” aroused curiosity before its release, it failed to connect with mainstream audiences during its release. However, over time, the film found a loyal fan base and gradually earned the adoration of moviegoers.Explaining what happened, Arya said, “But when it came out, it proved to be a film that was ahead of its time. That’s why the audience at that time couldn’t relate to it much. Even so, we all really enjoyed shooting this movie. “

Arya also revealed that the producers have recently explored the possibility of bringing “Two Barrel” back to life. According to him, discussions even included making some changes before bringing the film back to theaters.Sharing this latest news, he said, “Recently, we even discussed doing some minor changes and re-releasing the film. But for some reason, that didn’t happen.”
