Veteran actress Lissy, who is back in showbiz after a 38-year hiatus, has reunited with filmmaker Priyadarshan for a new commercial. This return marks her first project under the direction of Priyadarshan since the 1988 classic Chithram. The reunion with Priyadarshan also triggered nostalgia among movie lovers who remember the duo’s successful collaboration in the 1980s.In addition to Lissy, there is their daughter, actress Kalyani Priyadarshan. In a project directed by Priyadarshan, the mother-daughter duo will share screen space for the first time. Veteran actor Prabhu Ganesan also appears in the ad.

Lissy announced the project by posting photos from the shoot on Instagram.She wrote, “It’s been 38 years since I last worked with Priyettan and I’m delighted to be working with him again! Our last film together was the iconic Chitram. “The best part is that I am playing the role of the reel mom to my biological daughter Kalyani Priyadarsan in this commercial. “
Actress recalls nostalgic moments from filming
Lissy also shared how comfortable she felt when facing the camera again. She praised Priyadarshan for making the experience effortless and recalled the light-hearted interactions that took place during the shoot.She wrote, “When Abhilash, Priyettan’s executive director, asked me if I was nervous on sets after all these years, I said no because Priyettan knows me inside and out, from my best to worst facial angles, making me look my best. (Priyettan overheard this and quipped, ‘I also know her best and worst behavior!’!) On the set, it was such a miss! I tried my best to hold back tears of joy! Picnic spots throughout the shoot.”Lissy expressed her gratitude to the brand for giving her the opportunity to reunite with Priyadarshan and Kalyani through the advertisement. Earlier this year, reports emerged that the former couple decided to get back together after years of separation.Priyadarshan later confirmed the reports in an interview with Mid-Day. He revealed that they chose to be together again rather than remarry.“Except for the marriage certificate, we live the same life together,” he said.
