JoSAA 2026 Second Round Seat Allotment Result Released: Check Allotment Status, Report Schedule Here

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the Round 2 seat allotment result for JoSAA Counseling 2026. Candidates who have participated in the counseling process can now check their seat allotment status by visiting the official website, josaa.nic.in.To access the allotment result, candidates need to login using their Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Application Number, password and security pin.The JoSAA counseling process is conducted for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) across the country.Candidates who have been awarded a seat in Round 2 must complete the online reporting process, including payment of the fee, uploading documents and answering any questions, from July 3, 2026, until 5 PM. Those who fail to complete these formalities within the deadline may lose their allocated seat.

How to check JoSAA 2026 Second Round Seat Allotment Result

Candidates can follow these simple steps to check their allotment status:

  • Visit the official JoSAA website.
  • Click on the link “Round 2 Seat Allotment Result 2026”.
  • Enter your JEE Main application number, password and security pin.
  • Send the details.
  • Check the seat allotment result.
  • Download and take a printout for future reference.

  • Pay the post acceptance fee.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Answer all questions raised during document verification.

The fee payment issue resolution facility will remain available until July 4, 2026, 5 PM.

Freeze, Float and Slide options

After accepting the allocated position, candidates can choose one of the following options:

  • Freeze: Accept the assigned position and do not participate in more rounds.
  • Float: Accept the current position but remain eligible for a better position in future rounds.
  • Slides: Accept the allotted institute while remaining eligible for a better course in the same institute.

Candidates who wish to withdraw from the counseling process can do so between July 1, 2026 (10 AM) and July 3, 2026 (5 PM).Candidates are advised to complete all the required formalities within the prescribed schedule and regularly check the JoSAA official website for the latest updates regarding the counseling process.
