The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the objection window for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 provisional answer key tomorrow, June 28, 2026, at 11:50 pm. Candidates who find any error in the provisional answer key can submit their objections through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, before the deadline.The NTA has released the provisional answer key of re-NEET UG 2026 on June 25 for more than 20 lakh candidates who appeared for the re-examination. Candidates can check the answer key by logging in with their application number and password.The agency has clearly stated that no objection will be accepted after the deadline. Once the objection process is complete, the NTA will review the challenges received and publish the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) response sheets.

How to challenge the re-NEET UG 2026 answer key

Applicants can follow these steps to raise objections:

  • Visit the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on Re-NEET UG 2026 Answer Key Challenge link.
  • Login with your application number and password.
  • Select the question(s) you want to challenge.
  • Upload the required supporting documents, if applicable.
  • Pay the required processing fee, if applicable, and submit the challenge.
  • Download the confirmation page for future reference.

Re-NEET UG 2026 Marking Scheme

The marking scheme for the exam is as follows:

  • Four points will be awarded for each correct answer.
  • One point will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • No points will be awarded for unanswered questions.

The question paper consists of 180 questions carrying a total of 720 marks from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).

OMR sheets to be released after objection process

After the objection window closes and the answer key revision process is over, the NTA will publish the OMR answer sheets of the candidates.The OMR sheet will include important details like:

  • Applicant’s name
  • Roll no
  • request number
  • Test booklet code
  • Answers to questions
  • Exam date and session details

The re-NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted in pen and paper mode on June 21, 2026, for more than 20 lakh candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and other allied medical programs offered by government and private colleges​​​​​​Candidates are advised to submit their objections well before the deadline and regularly visit the official website for further updates regarding the final answer key and result.
