The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that candidates who have appeared for the Re-NEET UG 2026 exam will receive their individual OMR answer sheets separately. The clarification comes after many students questioned why the OMR sheets were not made available with the provisional answer key.According to NTA, scanning of OMR answer sheets is still going on. Once the process is over, candidates will be given a separate opportunity to view and download their individual OMR answer sheets. This will allow them to check the answers recorded during the exam.Meanwhile, the agency has already opened the provisional response key challenge window. Candidates can raise objections to the answer key from June 25 to June 28 by paying a processing fee of Rs 200 per request. NTA said the fee will be refunded if the expert panel accepts the challenge.Explaining the move, the agency said it deliberately started the process of challenging the answer key before the OMR scanning was completed. “This has been done deliberately, in the interest of transparency, so that every candidate has an early and open opportunity to review the provisional answer keys for all four sets and to indicate any question that, in their view, deserves a new look,” said NTA.The agency added that allowing experts to examine objections while OMR scanning continues will help speed up the overall evaluation process. Candidates have been advised to challenge the questions only from their own Question Paper Series Code printed on the cover of the test booklet taken home after the examination. After the OMR sheets are released and all the objections are reviewed, NTA will prepare the final answer key. The Re-NEET UG 2026 result will be declared on the basis of this final answer key.
