The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has yet to announce the remaining Class 12 revaluation and verification results, leaving many students in an anxious wait as the college admission deadlines approach.On June 21, the council published the first phase of the results, declaring the results for more than 87 percent of the applications received. However, the remaining students are still waiting for their revised marks.In a statement, CBSE said the pending results will be released in phases and the entire process is expected to be completed soon.“CBSE has started the release of Class XII Check of problems observed and Revaluation results. The results were released gradually, with more than 87% of the total applications received being declared today. The results of the remaining applications will be made available in phases and the entire process is expected to be completed soon,” the board said.Meanwhile, many students and parents have expressed concern online about the delay. A parent wrote to the court, saying: “Dear CBSE, We have not yet received the revaluation result. The delay has affected my son’s university admission process, and we are worried that it may have an impact on his enrollment. I am asking you to speed up the release of the revaluation result.”The wait comes after CBSE’s revaluation process drew attention earlier this month when some students raised concerns over the online scanned marking (OSM) system and claimed that scanned copies of answer sheets did not match their handwriting.
When will CBSE refund the revaluation fee?
CBSE has not announced a specific date for refund of revaluation and verification fees. However, the council had earlier said that refunds would be processed after the declaration of all revaluation results.Students who are eligible for a refund, including cases involving overpayments or duplicates, will receive the amount in the original source account, as per the board’s previous notification. CBSE had introduced a revised fee structure this year following allegations of discrepancies in copy verification. Students have to pay Rs 100 to access the scanned copies of their answer scripts and another Rs 100 for the verification of marks. Correction queries cost Rs 25 per query. Earlier, students had to pay Rs 700 to access answer sheets, Rs 500 for checking marks, and Rs 100 for each challenged question.The court also decided to refund the entire fee paid by a student if the marks increase after the revaluation or verification process. “We have decided that if, during the scrutiny process, a student’s marks increase or are revised upwards, we will refund the entire amount paid by them for revaluation,” he said.
