New Delhi: BCCI Suryansh Shedge has been appointed as a replacement for Nitish Kumar Reddy for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England, with the all-rounder sidelined due to a quadriceps injury.Nitish reported discomfort in his left quadriceps after the third ODI against Afghanistan on June 20. After a medical evaluation, the BCCI medical team recommended a period of rehabilitation, which effectively ruled him out of both assignments.The 23-year-old has already missed the second ODI against Afghanistan in Lucknow with this injury. Although he performed well in the series, problems flared up again, forcing him to withdraw from the upcoming white-ball matches. The exact timetable for his return remains clear.India will play two T20Is against Ireland in Belfast on June 26 and 28 before traveling to England for a five-match series scheduled to take place on July 1, 4, 7, 9 and 11.
