CBSE Class 10 Second Board Result 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is also announcing the Result of Class 10 Second Board Examination 2026. As of July 6, 2026, the board has not confirmed the date and time of the declaration, and the result link is also activated on the official platforms. Students who have appeared for the second board exam are waiting for the announcement and are advised to keep their login credentials ready to avoid last minute delays once the result is released.The Class 10 board examination was conducted from May 15, 2026 to May 21, 2026 under the new two-board examination system of CBSE. The examination was introduced to provide eligible students another opportunity to improve their marks during the same academic session, while the compartment candidates were also allowed to appear under the prescribed eligibility criteria. Although CBSE has not released an official announcement regarding the declaration date, the result is likely to be announced this week.More than 6.68 lakh candidates awaiting declarationThe second board exam received a total of 6,68,854 entries. Among them, 5,25,655 students appeared under the improvement category, while 85,285 candidates registered as compartment students. Another 57,914 candidates were covered under the category related to both the improvement and the compartment.CBSE will prepare the final result following the best of two policy. Under this system, the highest marks secured by an eligible student in both the first board exam and the second board exam will be considered while preparing the final result.Students placed in the compartment category and those seeking improvement in up to three subjects were eligible to appear for the second examination. Candidates placed in the Essential Repeat category, as well as those who failed or were absent in three or more subjects, were not eligible.The first board exam recorded 93.70 percent pass percentageAhead of the second board exam, CBSE declared the results of the first board exam of Class 10 with an overall pass percentage of 93.70 percent. Out of 24,71,777 students who appeared, 23,16,008 qualified.Among the regions, Trivandrum and Vijayawada recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.79 percent each. Chennai followed with 99.58 percent, while Bengaluru recorded 98.91 percent. Delhi West and Delhi East recorded pass percentages of 97.45 per cent and 97.33 per cent respectively.Among the school categories, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan achieved a pass percentage of 99.57 percent, followed by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at 99.42 percent. Independent schools recorded 93.77 per cent, government schools 91.43 per cent and government aided schools 91.01 per cent.

Steps to check result through DigiLocker

Students will be able to access their digital report cards through DigiLocker after CBSE declares the result.Step 1: Visit results.digilocker.gov.in and login with your DigiLocker account.Step 2: Open the CBSE Class 10 Result section after the board activates the service.Step 3: Enter your roll number, registration number and date of birth in the required fields.Step 4: Submit details to view temporary digital signage.Step 5: Download the mark and save a copy for admission and document verification until the original certificates are distributed through the schools.The provisional scorecard will include the student’s name, roll number, class, subject marks, total marks and qualification status. After the declaration, students can also apply online for verification of marks, obtain photocopies of evaluated answer sheets and request revaluation of specific answers. CBSE will not release merit list or award divisions for Class 10 exam.
