Ahead of the wedding, Khan had confirmed that the couple would skip the lavish celebrations and hold a simple registration ceremony on July 5, with only close friends and family present. He told Deccan Chronicle, “It will be a very simple registered marriage at home, just family and very close friends of both parties. We both want to keep it very basic.”
