Delhi University (DU) has started CSAS Phase II for Undergraduate admissions 2026. Eligible students who have registered in Phase I can now provide their preferences for programs and colleges. Preference filling for CSAS will begin on July 3rd and end at 11:59 PM on July 11th. Applicants should go through the subject mapping process and prepare their program-university preference list during the preference filling process. In the current phase of the CSAS, candidates need to map their Class 12 subjects to the CUET UG 2026 test texts. It is imperative for DU that the candidates have taken the CUET UG 2026 test in the same subjects in which they passed the Class 12 exam. The subject mapping process is applicable to language subjects as well as domain subjects.
Applicants may submit multiple program-university preferences
Delhi University has allowed applicants to select as many program-university combinations as they are eligible. However, the institution emphasized that the sequence of preferences is one of the most critical factors in the allocation process.Students have been advised to prepare their preference list carefully after evaluating their interests, eligibility and admission prospects. The university also allowed candidates to rearrange their choices several times before the deadline. Only preferences saved in the portal before the closing time will be considered for seat allocation.
First allocation list to be released on July 16
The university will announce the first CSAS UG 2026 allotment list at 5 pm on July 16. Candidates who receive seats in the first round must accept their allocated seat between July 16 and July 18. Colleges complete the verification of applications until July 20, while the last date to pay the admission fee for the first time is July 21.The second allotment list is expected to be released on July 25. Candidates awarded places in the second round must complete the payment of the admission fee by July 28.
Admissions based on CUET UG 2026 scores
Delhi University is offering admission to 73 undergraduate programs with 150 combinations under the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program through the CSAS portal this year. Admissions will be made entirely on the basis of CUET UG 2026 scores, subject to program-specific eligibility requirements. The university has also retained upgrade and freeze options for admitted applicants. Students who accept an allocated place and complete the admission formalities can either freeze their admission or opt for an upgrade to a higher preference program or to the university in subsequent rounds without losing their existing place, as long as they meet the required conditions.
What candidates should keep in mind
As the process of fulfilling preferences has begun, candidates are now in one of the most important stages of admission to the University of Delhi for undergraduate programs. Although the scores in CUET UG will help the candidates to be eligible, the allocation will depend a lot on how the preferences are managed by them. That is why students have been advised to check the map of the subject carefully, and also to examine each preference before filling.
