Who kidnapped Sherlock and whose identity was revealed

Enola follows the lead and finds a soldier who saw Sherlock the night before he disappeared. Before she could get the information out of him, he was shot. The soldier utters a word before he dies, which Enola initially thinks is “angry” but later realizes it might be “rat.”Just one day later, Lady Tewkesbury, Lord Tewkesbury’s mother, was also kidnapped. The kidnappers set fire to the hotel, possibly to destroy evidence. Despite the destruction, Enola discovers a war medal and reconnects with Mikiel Mitzi, who believes Professor Adeline Larter may be the perpetrator.Enola returns to Malta to find a woman wearing the same lace as in Sherlock’s hotel room. As she pursues the woman, she is shocked to discover the truth: Professor Larter is actually her former enemy from the second film, Moriarty, who had previously managed to escape police custody.
Moriarty’s escape and motivations
Moriarty, also known as Mira Troy, stars as a criminal mastermind in the second “Enola Holmes” movie. She unexpectedly escapes police custody after Sherlock and Enola successfully arrest her. The real conspiracy involving Afghan gold
Through investigation, Enola and Lord Tewkesbury discovered that a war medal found in the fire matched one of the Tewkesbury Fathers’ medals. After meeting the Godfather, they learned a shocking fact: British soldiers stole Afghan gold during the Battle of Khost. To cover up their crimes, the soldiers deliberately sank a Maltese ship and falsely claimed that the gold came from the ship.This revelation leads Enola to understand that Moriarty’s dual mission involves both uncovering the Tewkesburys’ darkest secrets and finding the stolen gold for himself. Enola realizes she has fallen into Moriarty’s elaborate trap, and the villain orchestrates a series of events to ensure the truth is discovered.Based on a previous conversation with Lord Tewkesbury about treasure hidden in the cliffs of Malta, Enola deduces that the gold must be hidden there. She heads to the cliff and finds Moriarty in the dungeon with Sherlock and Lady Tewkesbury. After a fierce confrontation, Enola and her allies subdued Moriarty and arrested her.
Solving gold and family scandals
Even with Moriarty’s arrest, the Holmes family’s work is still not done. Lord Tewkesbury made the courageous decision to return the gold to Afghanistan and report everyone involved in the theft plot, including his own godfather. At their planned wedding before the kidnapping, Enola was hesitant to marry her brother due to his objections and fear of losing her independence and her career as a detective.However, after the events in Malta and everything the couple had been through together, Enola realized that she could continue her detective work while getting married. The couple eventually married, with Sherlock apparently approving of their union. Enola was able to keep her surname throughout the marriage because Tewkesbury had given up her title due to the scandal and exposure of the crime.
