Dr. BR Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has started the admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the academic session 2026-27, opening applications for students seeking admission to its humanities and social sciences courses.Established by the Government of Delhi, the university will admit students in 23 undergraduate programs that have an intake of 1,194 students. Admission to three-year and four-year programs will be based on CUET UG 2026 score as per NEP 2020 guidelines.The university has requested applicants to complete registration through its CUET UG admission portal and carefully check program-specific eligibility conditions before submitting their applications.

University authorities have urged applicants to avoid waiting until the last date for registration, warning that last-minute technical problems could disrupt the application process.Students have also been advised to carefully review the admission guidelines, reservation norms, fee details and schedule of important dates before completing the application process. The university said that candidates should regularly monitor the official website for any notifications or changes related to admission.
Five new undergraduate programs introduced
The 2026-27 academic session will see a significant expansion of the university’s academic portfolio with the introduction of at least five new undergraduate programs.Among the major additions is a BA in Museology, Culture and Heritage Management, which university officials describe as one of the first programs of its kind at the university level in India. The university is also launching a BA in Visual Arts as part of its efforts to diversify its academic offerings.
The math course is restructured with artificial intelligence and data science
AUD has also revamped its mathematics curriculum by replacing the existing BA (Honours) mathematics program with a BSc in Mathematics.Officials said the revised program will include a minor in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, reflecting the growing emphasis on interdisciplinary education and emerging technologies.The curriculum revision is aimed at equipping students with mathematical basics alongside industry-relevant technological skills.
New postgraduate courses to be offered under PGCF
The university is simultaneously expanding its postgraduate curriculum under the Post Graduate Curriculum Framework (PGCF). According to university officials, the one-year postgraduate programs will be offered in seven disciplines.Among the newly introduced postgraduate courses are MA in Creative Writing and MA in Performing Arts (Theatre Arts), expanding opportunities for students interested in creative and performing disciplines.
CUET UG 2026 results lead the admissions process
The admission exercise follows the declaration of CUET UG 2026 results by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 23.The exam recorded only one candidate who secured a perfect 100th percentile in four of the five subjects chosen. The data published by the agency showed that 22 candidates obtained 100 percentile in three subjects, while 180 candidates secured the highest score in two subjects. Another 3,214 candidates obtained a 100 percentile in a subject.
More than 11.6 lakh candidates appeared for CUET UG
CUET UG 2026 witnessed the participation of more than 11.64 lakh candidates across the country. Women accounted for almost half of the total entries, with 7,74,607 female candidates applying for the exam compared to 7,94,257 male candidates. However, female participation exceeded that of men during the exam, with 5,85,596 women appearing against 5,78,500 men.Three candidates registered under the third gender category, of which two appeared for the examination. With the CUET UG admission cycle now underway, Ambedkar University Delhi’s expanded list of programs and revised curriculum is expected to offer students a wider range of academic options during the 2026-27 admission season.
