Telugu crime thriller “Isakapatnam” has officially launched on OTT. The play is directed by Garry BH and written by Prashant Ragathi. The seven-episode drama takes viewers into a volatile coastal town in the 1990s.

A story rooted in crime and power

The story takes place in a port town where influence is built through fear, political connections and illegal trade. At the center of the story is Naidu, who starts out as an outsider but gradually becomes one of the most feared figures in the region.Samuthirakani plays Naidu, a ruthless leader determined to protect the empire he has built. Aishwarya Rajesh plays Bharati and Sunil plays an upright police officer.The series is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting July 2, 2026. Ahead of the digital premiere, the makers have released a trailer introducing viewers to the dangerous world of Ikhapatnam.

Official synopsis reveals Naidu’s journey

According to the official synopsis shared by the OTT platform, “In the port town of Ikhapatnam, Naidu rises from an outsider to the most feared man in the region – building his empire through port politics, crime and sheer brutality. As political rivalries, illegal trade and shifting loyalties ignite intense drama, Naidu will stop at nothing to stand his ground. But his daughter Bharati begins to question the true cost of it all.Apart from the trio in the lead, the cast of the thriller series “Ithakhapatnam” also includes Naresh Agastya, Merin Philip, Sudhakar Komakula, Rajeev Kanakala, Mime Gopi, Rohini, Banerjee, Jwala Koti, Ravi Varma and Raja Chembolu in important roles.Overall, Aishwarya Rajesh and Samutirakani starrer Ishakhapatnam looks promising.
