The Central Board of Secondary Education has launched the LOC submission process for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026, with schools required to register eligible candidates from July 8. The board has outlined the eligibility criteria, exam rights and submission guidelines, warning that students whose names are not included in the LOC will lose the opportunity to take the supplementary exam.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule for Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 and has started the process for submission of List of Candidates (LOC). CBSE affiliated schools have been directed to complete the online submission of candidates through the Pariksha Sangam portal within the stipulated time.The board also made it clear that students whose names are not included in the LOC will not be allowed to appear for the supplementary examination.

Schools directed to submit LOC through Pariksha Sangam

As per the official notification, the schools must login to the Pariksha Sangam portal using their affiliation credentials and submit the LOC for the eligible students.The online submission window remains open from June 30 to July 8, 2026. CBSE has directed schools to include all students placed in the Compartment category, even if they are unable to contact. The board said that failure to submit a student’s name in the LOC will make the student ineligible for the supplementary examination.

Compartment students should contact their schools

Students who have appeared as regular candidates from CBSE affiliated schools in the Class 12 Board examinations 2026 and have been declared in the Compartment category must approach the school from which they have appeared in the main examination. Their schools will support their names for the additional examination.The board advised students not to wait until the last moment and ensure that their details are submitted before the deadline.

Students eligible to appear

CBSE has specified the categories of candidates who can register for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026.Eligible categories include:

  • Students appearing for their first chance of compartment after being declared in the Compartment category in the Class 12 Board exams 2026.
  • Students seeking performance improvement after passing the exam after substituting subjects in the 2026 main exams.
  • Students who have passed the 2026 Board exams and want to improve their marks in a subject.
  • Students who appear for the third chance of the compartment, who first appeared for the examination of Class 12 in 2025. These candidates can apply only as private candidates.

Additional examination fee

Candidates have to pay the exam fee online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI.The fee structure is as follows:

Consolidated Mark Sheet for Compartmental Eligible Candidates only

CBSE has clarified that a consolidated mark sheet will be issued only to those students whose result in the 2026 Board examination has been declared as Compartment and who successfully pass the 2026 Supplementary Examination.Examination to follow the existing programThe board said that the supplementary examination will be conducted on the examination syllabus of Class 12 2025-26. Details regarding the release of CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Admit Cards 2026 will be announced separately.CBSE has also directed the schools to immediately contact the concerned Regional Office if any discrepancy is found in the admit card once issued.Here it is link to the notice.
