Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Board has started accepting online applications for admissions in MBBS/BDS programs in the academic year 2026-27. Candidates who are eligible for admission can apply on the online admission portal while waiting for the final result of NEET-UG 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has also announced the revised NEET-UG results after the re-examination conducted on June 21. NTA had announced the resumption of the exam following allegations of a leak in the May 3 exam. After the completion of the objection period for the provisional answer key, all the candidates are eagerly waiting for the final release of the answer key or result.The state of Tamil Nadu is carrying out the admission procedure even after the delay in the announcement of the NEET-UG 2026 result to ensure that there will be enough time to prepare the board when the result of the entrance exam will be announced.Candidates seeking admission in the university medical and dental course can apply through the official website of the state medical admission portal.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following conditions before submitting their applications: Must have qualified the NEET-UG exam. They should have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Applicants must be 17 years of age to be eligible for admission.
