Actor R Madhavan has received one of the country’s most prestigious civilian honors: Padma ShriThus marking another major achievement in his celebrated career. While congratulatory messages poured in from the entire film fraternity and his fans, his wife Sarita Madhavan penned heart-touching words for him. Madhavan awarded Padma Shri by President Draupadi Murmuhis wife Sarita, mother Saroja Ranganathan and son Vedaant cheered him on. Sarita also shared a picture of their family from the ceremony. She wrote: “My love, congratulations to this deserving Padma Shri. Your passion, hard work and artistry have touched the hearts of countless people. This recognition is something I will cherish throughout my life.”The actor further thanked him for the support he has received throughout his career, adding: “To everyone who has watched my films, embraced my roles, celebrated my successes, forgiven my shortcomings and supported me over the years, this honor belongs to you as well as to me. Your love has been the driving force behind every milestone in my life and career.” Today, I also feel a deep sense of responsibility.
